Jennifer Romen (Maastricht, 1996) is een jonge, ambitieuze choreograaf die met haar gezelschap Oxygen indruk maakt met visueel werk vol innovatieve choreografieën en beeldende illusies. Ze werd drievoudig Europees Kampioen, drievoudig Wereldkampioen en ze won de World Dance Sport Games in Taiwan en The World of Dance Championship in Los Angeles. In 2020 won ze de Inspiratieprijs 2020 van het Prins Bernard Cultuurfonds.

Met haar eerste eigen, avondvullende voorstelling Delusion bestormt ze de grote zalen. Delusion wordt een visueel hoogstandje bestaande uit drie delen dat het publiek door het gebruik van illusies constant op het verkeerde been zet en het publiek meeneemt in een reis van een adolescent die volwassen wordt. Een verbluffende, ontroerende en tot in de puntjes uitgevoerde coming-of-age voorstelling die een breed publiek raakt. 

Delusion wordt mede mogelijk gemaakt door het Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, Fonds Podiumkunsten en de Gemeente Maastricht.

Jennifer Romen (Maastricht, 1996) is a young, ambitious choreographer who impresses with her company Oxygen with visual work full of innovative choreographies and visual illusions. She stormes the big theatre’s with her first full-length performance Delusion. Delusion will be a visual tour de force consisting of three parts that constantly misleads the audience through the use of illusions and takes the audience on a journey of an adolescent coming of age. An astonishing, moving and meticulously executed coming-of-age performance that touches a wide audience.
